Installation:

OVA Virtual Machine:

  • Import the .ova file
  • Launch the Virtual Machine
  • At the Console or via SSH, log on as “dagah” using the password “dagah”
    • Change this password to be secure.
  • Networking is set to DHCP, update these settings if necessary
  • Make sure your host machine is set up to allow web traffic to the guest on port 80
  • Visit the ip address of the Virtual Machine with a browser and create an account for the GUI
  • Login to the GUI with the account you just created.
  • For Command Line Interface, once you have the local ip address, you can ssh connect (ssh dagah@) to the VM.  The default password “dagah”.  This should be changed.

AWS AMI:

  • For AWS, in the EC2 service page, search for the public AMI:ami-0cf2275df87183971 (you may have to select US East (N. Virginia) region) and create an instance
  • Allow traffic to port 80 and 22 in security groups.
  • ssh into the machine as user centos with key used at creation. su to dagah with password dagah to use the command line interface.
  • Visit the ip address of the Virtual Machine with a browser and create an account for the GUI
  • Login to the GUI with the account you just created.

Update of existing Dagah Virtual Appliance:

  • From Command line, as user “dagah”, cd /home/dagah/dagah
  • Download the Patch File
  • Unzip the patch file unizp -u dagah-1.1.9-update.zip
  • Run: “sudo ./update_dagah.sh”

  • Run the Web Interface at http://ip-address/index.html
  • Or Run the command-line program (python dagah2.pyc) as “dagah” in /home/dagah/dagah/
